How does the geofence work?

Each property has a geofence. When a cleaner arrives inside it, they can begin the task and the clock starts on its own. Hours reflect time actually spent on site, not what was remembered at the end of the week.

What does my field team need?

The Remôtkey app on their phone, available on the App Store and Google Play, with location access turned on so check-ins work at the property.

Is a damage report required every time?

Yes. A clean can't close without one, even when the answer is “no damage.” Anything the cleaner flags becomes a maintenance task, tied to the last guest so insurance claims are easier.

When is a task marked complete?

Once photos of every room are uploaded, the cleaner can mark the task complete. The invoice is generated automatically from the job.

How do payouts work?

Approve the job and the payout goes out. Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect, with hourly pay, materials, profit share, commission and referral earnings on one ledger.

Does Remôtkey hold our money?

No. Remôtkey is not a bank. Payments are processed by Stripe, and the bank details your payees enter are held by Stripe.

Do you track my team all the time?

No. Location is used to verify that work happened at the property: arrival, time on site and departure inside the geofence. It isn't used to follow people outside their work. Read the Privacy Policy for the details.

Who owns the photos and job records?

You do. Customer data belongs to the management company, and we use it only to run Remôtkey for you. You can export it while your account is active.
